http://www.sott.net/article/357655-Discoveries-of-rare-oarfish-cause-fears-of-impending-doom-in-South-Korea

Quote: "Fish of a species found only in the deepest depths of the sea are popping up around Gangneung in Gangwon Province. As strange as the discoveries themselves, the appearance of the fish is causing a certain degree of fear and consternation among the public. Social media platforms are abuzz with frantic discussions as to whether the emergence of the fish is a sign of impending earthquakes or tsunamis."

Note: Might just mean that the bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide are growing colonies on the ocean floor in the area, which will tend to kill bottom-dwelling fish first, and some of the dead fish will end up washing ashore...

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Dog-Mysteriously-Dies-After-Swimming-in-Wisconsin-Lake-437906303.html

Quote: "Holmes said while Lucy was being treated at the veterinary clinic another dog was brought in. 'We heard there was another incident of another dog coming in after swimming at Marshall Park,' Holmes said."

Quote: "A check of conditions of Madison beaches shows no reported signs of blue-green algae."

Quote: "Lindsey Holmes told NBC affiliate WMTV she took her Cavalier King Charles to Lake Mendota for a swim near the Memorial Union Terrace in Madison Sunday afternoon. Soon after, her dog began vomiting and foaming at the mouth. She rushed her pup to a veterinary hospital in the area where the dog later died. Holmes said her dog was 3 years old and healthy."

Quote: "Holmes also claimed another dog came into the vet while she was there with similar symptoms after swimming in the lake. The UW-Veterinary Hospital reported two dogs did die at the hospital following a swim in the water but experts believe the dogs' deaths 'were unfortunate and coincidence.'"

Note: Quite a coincidence - two dogs enter the same lake on the same day, both foam at the mouth and die. Coincidence, suuuuure...
